Chanukah Fun Night Idea #1

Ready for a super easy way to turn a Chanukah night into a magical experience? Here's a way to spend a night enjoying family or friends & creating memories.

It's the Chanukah Pajama Party!

Pajamas set the tone & I totally recommend going all out for this one. Fuzzy slippers, Chanukah themed PJs or other fun ones, pom pom hats... Get the vibe going.

And now for what to do:

Activity one: S'more making. Food first, obviously. I find these have to be done as individual portions in the oven. Lay out a graham cracker on a piece of foil (or use a chocolate chip cookie flipped so the flat side is up) top with mini marshmallows and chocolate chips. Cover with another graham cracker (or cookie) and wrap it in the foil.

Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes (until marshmallows & chocolate chips melt)

Activity two: Game time. Once the candles are lit & the s'mores are ready it's time to play a game. Some of our family faves are Bananagrams, Monopoly, Cover your Assets and Clue.

Here's a pro tip (you're welcome), choose a game in advance & have it ready. Don't ask for opinions. It will derail your plans for a great night.

Activity three: Pillow basketball. For some of my children gifts on Chanukah are super important. I love making it into a game & having fun small things.

The prep: Wrap a variety of fun or funny small gifts (think Dollar Tree or Target $3 bins) and fill a box. Choose a small throw pillow to be tossed into the box.

To play: Have everyone line up a distance from the box to begin tossing. Take turns tossing the pillow. Anyone who scores gets to take 1 wrapped surprise from the box & open it. Of course, the game goes until the box is emptied.

So, that's the plan. Now make it yours. Add music, fuzzy blankets, dim the lights... Create a pajama party atmosphere in your home and make it a night you'll always remember.
